Beginning January 1, 2024, certain types of corporations, limited liability companies, and other similar entities formed in or registered to do business in the United States must report information about their beneficial owners—the individuals who ultimately own or control the company—to the United States Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

• Companies created prior to January 1, 2024 must file by January 1, 2025.
• Companies created in 2024 have 90 days to file after they are created.
• Starting in 2025 companies will have 30 days after they are created.
